The Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service produces the official
annual estimates of the total population for Virginia and its localities.
We produce mid-year (July 1) population estimates every year except
the year of the Census. In late January we release provisional estimates
for the preceding year and final estimates for the year before that.
At the end of the decade, the final estimates are revised in light
of the new census counts. All Cooper Center estimates are rounded
to the nearest hundred. |
